What does your name mean (and how do you pronounce it)?

Uvina ("you-vee-nuh") was the name of our founder’s mother. She was a tall, brown-skinned, city-loving, salsa dancing mama who instilled in her daughter a fierce level of independence and a heaping dose of Latina sass. Where are Uvina Skin products made?

All Uvina Skin products are proudly made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients. 

Do your products carry any certifications?

Yes, we are proudly Leaping Bunny Certified! We feel that certifications are one of the ways we can show our customers that we’re serious about our stance as a plant-based and ethical skin care brand. Our formulas work their magic with perfectly blended fruit extracts, soothing herbs, and hydrating butters that are never tested on animals or made with animal by-products. (We only test on family and friends.)  

In what order do I apply the skin care products?

These things can definitely get confusing. Here’s the breakdown:
(1) You should always start with a clean face so be sure to begin with the Isabel peppermint facial bar. 
(2) Next, apply the soothing and antioxidant-rich Gaby serum. Massage it onto your face, neck, and décolletage. Make sure all of that serum goodness gets absorbed before you move on the next step!
(3) Lastly, generously apply the Aida Facial Cream onto your face, neck, and décolletage. Take a deep breath and say "Ahhhhhhhhhh". You’re officially on your way to healthy, glowing skin. 
(Note: Always, ALWAYS wear sunscreen during the day. This should be the last product you apply.)

 What are your sustainability efforts?

We have taken great strides to make sure that the existence of our products is just as good to Mama Earth as it is to you. A few examples include working with local vendors (allowing us to reduce our carbon footprint), eliminated inner and outer shrink-wraps, and use glass containers which can be recycled indefinitely. Will you be releasing additional products?

We pride ourselves on being intentional and aim to keep our product list rooted in quality and not focus on quantity. However, we do feel that there are a few more products that would really complete our line and hope to be working on developing those outstanding formulas soon!

Why are your products named after women?

Uviña Skin is a Latina-founded skin care brand inspired by the women in our founder's family. These are women who were fiercely independent, loved immensely, and believed beauty should be simple, clean, and effortless. Jelitsa chose to develop and name each product after a woman in her family based on each woman’s unique characteristics. Click here to read more about our namesakes! 

When will I get my order?

Your order will be processed and filled within 48 hours and you will then receive the best email of all time...tracking information! Depending on location, order may arrive within 5-7 business days.

What are your shipping costs?

We offer free shipping for all orders over $75 within the continental U.S.! Yup, go ahead, do your happy dance. 
Orders under $75.00 will have shipping costs calculated based on location. 
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within the U.S. and to Canada. We're working on expanding our international reach so please stay tuned!
Orders shipped outside the United States may be subject to import duties, taxes, customs and/or other charges not included in the total cost of your order. These fees are imposed by the receiving country upon passing through customs and/or the shipping carrier.
Uviña Skin does not have visibility to these fees and they vary by country. These fees will not be covered or reimbursed by Uviña Skin.
